Blenkinsop takes Schladming

19 year old Kiwi Sam Blenkinsop took his first World Cup win in Schladming, and also took the semi. An amazing race saw second-place qualifier Brendan Fairclough up on Monster Energy teammate Hill at the split only to have one of the biggest crashes in World Cup history, cartwheeling through the air for 30 plus feet. Sam Hill was super-sketchy but took second, not enough to deny Greg Minnaar the overall series victory. Yeti got their best results of the season with Leov in 6th and the USA’s Aaron Gwin in 8th, his best ever result in this his first year of World Cup downhill racing. Read our interview with today’s winnner Blenky below.
