Corsair Ducat

February 23, 2009

Corsair head honcho Doug Stuart kindly sent over a Ducat for us to test as part of the Distilled Digital series of online articles. Corsair have undoubtedly made one of the best-looking hardtails on the market and it’s a refreshing change from all the steel tubed dirt/park/street frames out there. A great deal of thought has clearly gone into making this frame, from the adjustable headtube to the interchangeable dropouts, and the finish is probably the best we’ve ever seen. Add  to this a thoughtful parts spec including some of Corsair’s in-house components, in particular their super light, wafer-thin pedals, and the Ducat is ready to rip straight out of the box. We’ll have a full report on this baby soon but for now take a look at these shots.

The latest offering from Transition Bikes is the new alloy Bank hardtail. The Bank represents the evolution of alloy hardtails in a superlight package that is worthy of almost any style of riding. The Bank is skilled at dirt jumping, 4X, Dual Slalom and overall trail shredding. At 4.9lbs it is definitely not a freeride hardtail but in the hands of a skilled rider it can handle almost any type of riding.
